DAY 442 (1057) ON THE ROAD TO PARIS 2024 AND PREMIER12 – Baseball, the beating summer heart of a nation
Today we celebrate the sport of baseball’s ties to the nation it has called home.
Ever since the first competitive game was played in 1846 the United States has been baseball’s true home. The formation of the first leagues in the 1860s formalized thus the link of the sport to become a part of the summer time in this part of the world.
The fact that the nation has majority of the sport’s great legends of both past and present – and where majority of the sport’s future talent is from – is the truth that we celebrate on this day as the sport enjoys the welcome of thousands of fans who celebrate this great day full of joy.
From this land the sport began to spread its rays to the world beginning with the first tours in the 19th century and thru the efforts of some, today the efforts of those first players to travel the world and many others who followed have bore fruit with the sport’s growing international presence.
We thank today the millions of baseball fans in the USA for sharing this sport to the world, the beating summer heart of their homeland, the cultural and sporting icon of a nation and the best team sport ever is.
For Glory
