The Orioles had a shot at a series sweep with Corbin Burnes going after his tenth win on Independence Day, but Seattle had a late rally beating us at our own game with the homerun ball. Still, a successful series win against a first-place team as we now head down to Oakland, where the expectations are to at LEAST take another two out of three against the last place A’s. Oakland may be a mess of a franchise right now, and they may sit bottom of their division, but they are a better side than last year, with some talented young players and took two of three from us earlier in our yard this season. So despite what appears to be a long-awaited “easy” opponent on the schedule, Baltimore still has plenty of work to do. Albert Suarez will start this first game tonight, facing left-hander Hogan Harris. Its back to late-night baseball. So grab a snack, a cold one or six, and enjoy the ballgame. Thank yooooouuuuuu.
