Macklin Celebrini is doing filthy things already

[Applause] mlin celebrini has arrived in San Jose and we’ve now gotten to see our first glimpse of the number one pick from this year’s NHL draft I got to say celebrini is a player that seems like an incredible talent and when you think about how he’s been a remarkable player at every level he’s played at from the San Jose junior shark all the way to his most recent season as a 17-year-old in the NCAA you kind of do think he’ll have a great rookie campaign for the Sharks as well now celebrating attended sharks development camp and I think right away you could see that this kid has a great shot [Music] [Applause] released he’d also put up more of his skills for display as he do a pretty good job on this tipping drill here and while I don’t think these were the hardest shots in the world he did get a pretty good job on getting his stick on most of them and deflecting the puck for those more rush and offensive drill celebrini looked really good again showing he’s able to skate well and use his high hockey IQ in these situations I will say maybe the only weakness he showed was on these one-on-one drills against the other prospects where he’d sometimes do well but other times get stopped by the D he’s still young though and there’s obviously more room to grow against older High skill level defenders in these more Rush type three on two drills celebrini again looked dangerous with his speed and ability to make plays on given time and space overall I think the sharks have a lot to be excited about going into next season celebrini as a guy who’s from the area and getting picked by this team in particular is a great story given how he grew up playing for the junior sharks and now he’s going to be a shark while he’s obviously not going to receive the hype Bard has gotten from last year I mean who can really I do think he’s going to have a great rookie season this year that impresses a lot of people and it’ll be interesting to see how he develops on a San Jose Squad that was quite frankly just downright terrible last season and we’ll see if the addition of celebrini along with offseason acquisitions can help this franchise make some much needed improvements next season over and out

Our first glimpses of Macklin Celebrini as the number 1 overall pick of the 2024 NHL draft hit the ice at San Jose Sharks development camps. #hockey #nhl #sanjosesharks

  1. Celebrini is a great player but you cannot base his rookie season on a couple of drills. His performance in the world juniors was pretty good but getting a couple of tips on shots is no way to rank a player. Focus more on beaded, he’s the better prospect and he’s the name of your channel
