The Washington Commanders Are AMAZED By These NEW Players… | Commanders News |

Dan Quinn jayen Daniels and the Washington commanders have already started to make major strides in the right direction and I want to give a major shout out to Dan Quinn in the front office with Adam Peters you know Anthony Lynn um you know Cliff Kingsbury Joe wit Jr these guys have done such an amazing job putting together a team that is honestly ready to compete right away which is very impressive but I think there are a couple of players who are flying under the radar who are actually making massive impacts on this Commander’s team and in this video I wanted to break down one player offensively and one player defensively who I think are not only going to have massive seasons on the field but also change the culture off the field as well as a team leader as a locker room guy and someone who the young young players can look up to in develop with mentorship going forward and you guys are going to love this video before we jump in though comment down below a player that you think can break out this season for the commanders and comment down below another player who you think is probably the biggest Dark Horse to make the 53 man roster and with that being said let’s dive into a couple of players who are going to change everything for the Washington commanders both on and off the the football field as a leader you know you’ve won a Super Bowl you you’ve been on winning teams what are you trying to help kind of cultivate here as as a leader and as a kind of a newcomer in this locker room um I think everybody just got to grow together I think the biggest thing is just trying to this time is about learning the defense learning the offense learning the people that you’re playing with trying to come together um and see how connected you can be uh before that first game go ahead early in your career when you looked at others as for motivation now you’re on that end where other people looking for your motivation how do you taken your role now as a teacher um I think you just uh share the knowledge I think that’s the biggest thing man share um I was very fortunate to have the people that I reached out to um you know give me that knowledge back so I think it’s only right for me to do the same uh for the people um coming up after me so um anybody that reaches out that wants advice um I’ll give it to him now obviously you don’t have to be a genius to know we’re going to start off this video by talking about one of the biggest upcoming defensive leaders to change the culture here in Washington and that is no other than Bobby Wagner and we know how good this man is off the field on this play or on the field I mean on this play specifically we’re going to see him read this motion by tutu Atwell he’s going to step up just a second and he’s going to read this play perfectly they’re going to hand the ball off here so I believe cam acres and he is going to absolutely destroy into this B Gap here getting into the back field for a massive play now like I said on the field there is no shock at all that this is going to be one of your best linebackers from the jump that’s just the energy that this man brings but then you talk about what he can teach the other players here in Washington that is something that is going to go unnoticed for a while but is going to play a massive role for the commanders next season Bobby Wagner is a guy who has been doing this for for a very long time and he knows the ins and outs of what it takes to get and to win a Super Bowl and I think he’s going to be able to bring that same type of mindset here to Washington as they continue to develop and continue to get better as time goes on now I’m not saying he’ll be here for over four or five more years but what he can do to Kickstart this new era or the new look Wasing commanders is going to be amazing then we look at this play again just another really good play here he’s going to F go inside here he’s going to bounce back out around as yuchen nosu gets in and he’s going to end up uh you know getting pressure on the quarterback here this is a beautiful little play a lot of defenses run where they fake have Bobby wagger come into that b Gap here he’s going to bounce out allow number 10 to jump in the way here and then gets around the edge because the offensive line gets confused and then makes a big time play on Daniel Jones a quarterback in the back field Bobby Wagner is just one of the guys I think will have a massive impact on this roster next season right defensively when you look at their depth chart you see guys like Frankie luu you see guys like Anthony Pitman Jamon Davis right there’s a bunch of guys here Mel Walker Jordan McGee who will need the development need the mentorship that he is going to give right and I think that is so so important when it comes to building a contender building a championship type of roster right even you look at last year the commanders ranked number 26 in yards a lot per Rush number 27 in rush yards a lot per game they also ranked you know one of the worst in terms of sack percentage and interception percentage Bobby Wagner is going to help in all of those categories from the jump now before we get into the next player I think will have a massive impact on this team leadership wise both on and off the field I need you guys to do me a massive favor hit the like button just so we can with that being said let’s talk about the next big time Mentor big time leader for this new look Washington Commander team DQ talked about mentor ship with the veterans and the rookies obviously you’re a vet you’ve been through the fires how are you trying to take that leadership role to like to like a Ben or a Cole the the younger guys in that locker room I mean I think um I just try and it’s not like I’m out there holding their hand by any means um I try and pull them aside and say hey this is how I would maybe do this this is what I think you can maybe work on um but first you got to have a personal relationship with someone know that they I care about them it’s not just me being the salty vet that’s out there trying to tell them what to do every play because they got a coach for that um I’m just trying to help them in any way I can um it’s something that at this stage in my career I think I’ve taken a lot more pride in now than maybe I did when I was younger um and so I’m just trying to maximize this team anyway anyone I can help not only tight ends but any skill position player even a defensive guy that I think he could do this a little better he’s giving me a tell I want to be as open as possible because that’s what guys are going to remember um people aren’t going to remember my stats my yards my catches when I’m done hopefully they remember the uh relationships that I have with them and so that’s what I’m trying to develop now obviously the other guy the other leader on and off the field that I think will have a major contribution for this Commander team going forward is Zack hers not only the time and the work ethic that he has coming in every single day and working on his craft but also letting others know where they can get better where they can improve I think he is going to be such a big time addition not only as a day one starter a safety valve you know a safety net for a rookie quarterback in jayen Daniels but then you look look at the long-term growth the guys like Ben Sate and then Cole Turner I think those guys are going to grow a ton over the next few years and I think they’re going to learn a ton under Zack her and Dan Quinn came out right away and said he pretty much loves the aura that you know Zack her is coming out with every single day working hard um you know getting better but also helping where you can help right telling you know a tight end or a wide receiver or a running back what they need to do differently you’re telling a what you know this is your tell this is what you’re showing me when you line up like that and if you line up like this maybe I won’t know that you know so I think Zack Herz what he can do off and on the field um is going to be something that the commanders absolutely love the emerging leadership throughout the summer um and then once you know competitive times come during training camp I think uh the production and the mentorship of Zack her is going to be something that is highly valued here in Washington for a very long time so listen I love Bobby Wagner I love Zack hers I think these two are the most underrated pickups of the off season in terms of mentorship changing the
