Pelicans Trade Valanciunas to Washington? Plus Karlo Matkovic Update

Pelicans Trade Valanciunas to Washington? Plus Karlo Matkovic Update

you are now listening to the Pelicans postgame report flash report for all things Pelicans are now tuned in the Pelican postgame report flash report we just got off air not too long ago shout out to the family members that was on that stream right when we got off five minutes later they had a little news drop about the Pelicans we expected this to happen today because a lot of the agreements or the trades that were happening are going to going final so don’t be surprised if there’s another flash report uh later on today or possibly another show tomorrow so anyway with this particular flash report we cover this issue Bobby marks talked about this and this is being released as the Pelicans uh the the particular Zone the Pelicans you know situation tired to valunas Jonas valunas looks like this Pelicans will create a trade exception and the yonas vatuna signing trade deal Washington will acquire valunas with a $9.8 million Monty Morris trade exemption that was set to expire today to meet the requirements of the trade the Washington Wizards had to send at least one of the following either cash a player under contract a future draft pick or draft rights to a player they chose Washington to use a 2027 second round pick that is protected between 31 and 50 that came via Chicago also you know just to give some information on the trade extension that the Pelicans created Andrew Lopez shout out to him Pelicans took that trade exception and they created a 9.53 million trade Exception by executing this deal a part of the valun signing trade so basically Pelicans create that and that’ll help them uh kind of erase some of the money using valunas and ass signning trade helps the Pelicans out in this uh as well and it helps out the pels as we move forward now like I said in the particulars of the deal this is what it looked like in the sign and trade agreement with the wizards and like it just to go back over it with the article pelicans have acquired the uh a protected 2027 second round pick from the Washington Wizards and exchange for Senator Jonas Val chunis as a part of the sign and trade agreement between the two teams in addition quote in addition to being an extremely valuable member of our starting lineup in multiple playoff runs yonas distinguished himself as a consumate teammate and professional end quote that came from David Griffin quote he and his family will will be missed we wish him nothing but success as continues his career end quote nael average uh who’s 7 feet 265 Plus in 235 games all STS from new orans over the last three seasons he averaged over 14 points 10 rebounds two assists and 26.1 minutes per game he was awesome n Val played in 82 games for the Pelicans during the 232 24 campaign averaged over 12 points almost nine rebounds two assist and three and 13 uh actually 23 and a half minutes per game so there you go with the veil move as well as the Pelicans create a trade uh exception like I said uh with uh that was mentioned by Andrew Lopez of 9.53 million that goes uh you know to help them out with the money situation while acquiring a 2027 Chicago second round selection that is a top 50 protected pick also not to just to leave you guys on that I may give you a little bit more backdrop on some of this information this is tied to Carlo mect so DJ this one’s for you hope you paying attention DJ on Carlo now this is coming from Chris Dodson who gave the scoop here he says I understand more than dollars aspect but this goes against everything I’ve heard so far about Carlo Movic very weird Carlo report that I have yet to hear refuted by any sources and what’s the report that Chris Dodson is talking about he’s talking about the fact that the European team JN fun uh trying to say this right J vinut Bonia and KK svita is negotiating a transfer of Carlo meic according to sources close to the player from Croatia could become official next week so a European teams European team is trying to negotiate the rights for Carlo mavic to go back overseas so we’ll see how that’s going that’s just a little bit of information I wanted to talk about with the Carlo mechik situation a lot of people were asking about where does mechik fit in the plan for the Pelicans a lot of people thought mavic would appear on the Pelicans summer league team right now that we covered this in the show we play showed some of the U half of a potential uh summer league roster that the Pelicans have not officially released but there was some uh some stuff that was going online that showed uh all people that we familiar with and then there was a particular player that was on that list but anyway that’s all I got for you today uh all right rather right now was the fact that the Pelicans uh initially announced the sign and trade of valat chunis they created the trade exemption 9.53 mil and then got a second round draft pick for 2027 via Chicago from Washington so there you go all right so anyway with that being said that’ll do it for this issue a pelican postc report flash report listen y’all hit the like button hit the Subscribe button by all means feel free to hit the show uh the uh hit the notifications become
