  1. Was surprised to see his model project the Wild to finish ahead of the Jets and Preds.

  2. I know none of us are ever optimistic when it comes to Minnesota sports, but >100pts seems highly unlikely

  3. Hope is a different kind of pain…

And I’m ready to hurt baby. Let’s fucking do this!!!

  4. if we run like the back part of last season all season, we are a playoff team. we are never a stellar cup contender team but last year was frankly brutal in many ways that i think are likely to improve for the coming year

  5. If we get another really good fourth line to go along with the two we already have we might win the same number of games.

  6. Barely missed the playoffs last year. Both goalies were awful. Spurgeon missed the whole year. Tons of other injuries. Depth guys all fell off a cliff. If even half those things go right, we are a clear playoff team. Faber & Boldy raised the floor of this team significantly.

  7. The real problem last season was bad PK and playing mermis, goligoski and merill regularly. Now that all should be fixed and if the wild get .900 goaltending they should do well.

  8. I mean if we can solve our issue of having only one of our lines that can score(which I think they are really focused on fixing that) AND our blue line is 100% healthy, I can absolutely see us finishing 2nd in the central. Hell, if Wallstedt plays like he’s been hyped to, we could finish 1st.

  9. To me the wild are either going to shred or get shredded. There is no in-between. I say this becuase if the depth guys rebound and the pk gets decent and the tending is league average we can make a run. If we get what we got last year it’s worse imo.

  10. Massive amounts of grit will net us a 5th place finish next year. The only way this goes up is if Kap scores 50 Boldy/40 Rossi 30 and MoJo shows up for 20. We have no secondary scoring and our goal tenders sucked last year.

  11. I think we’re more of a 90-95 point team if we perform entirely average with the usually amount of injuries. Last year though, we really got hit with a lot of man games lost to in season injuries and Spurgeon being the biggest one was possibly a 10 point swing. If our guys take a step up though, 100 isn’t that much of a stretch.
