  1. Kind of a weird two game series with a day off inbetween, but a sweep is a sweep!

  2. It was nice to see Wesneski have a good start today. He is hard to predict.

After Hodge got out of that jam in the 7th, I realized that I don’t hate the Cubs’ current bullpen. I currently like Hodge, Little, Lopez, and Miller. Little got into a jam in the 9th. But I don’t believe he really gave up any hard contact that inning. Smyly is fine. Roberts has been good in his three outings this season. Neris is a problem but hasn’t been bad in his last five games. And we will see what Hunter Bigge can do.

  3. Well, that’s two out of three, and Meatloaf assures me that’s not bad. Let’s keep it going.

  4. Galaxy brain move by Counsell to have Luke Little load the bases so that Neris felt comfortable for his patented nerve wracking saves

  5. You know, being the first shutout since May I am curious how many times the bullpen has been left with a shutout and blown it in between that time

  6. Honesty a solid series. Naturally the one time I drive up to Wrigley for a game is for the 0-7 turd however

  7. shout out to michael busch. consistently batting well his rookie season and seems to have figured out how to scoop a baseball as well.

imagine how bad we would be doing this season if we had hosmer in his place

  8. Wesneski and Pat Hughes were both in peak form today.

And Dansby finally got a hit! Hopefully this is a turning point.

  9. After all I have said, I must honor a good performance by both Amaya and Neris. Thank you for contributing.
