A wise decision
I was skeptical of the pick at the time but am able to say I was wrong and it looks like a good pick.
Most handsome man in sports, bring the cup home Juraj!
And it was entirely uncontraversial. We all agreed it was the right pick.
I watched it at night, before work… it was worth it. first 2 picks to my country… probably would never happen again…
The draft was on july 7th?
HAPPY SLAFIVERSARY!!
I didn’t know it at the time, but it was the “Wright” pick!
Remember it like it was yesterday, I was preparing the BBQ with the draft on the Ipad beside me and my wife asking what the hell was up and why I was laughing so much. I was flabergasted that HuGo went against the grain and that most of this subreddit would be on fire. Inglasco (if I remember) died on his hill saying he watched all the tape. What a time it was on this sub seing how much pain we suffered that season.
We love you juraj
I was really iffy on the pick, but it’s looking really good now, love the dude, go slaf mon esti dscoreur fou
Patrick Roy? Guy Lafleur?
I want everyone who wanted Wright and did shit on Hugues to apologize 👇
I definitely was totally correct at the time and definitely didn’t have a bunch of takes that aged extremely poorly.
How is it already 2 years man
I was at the draft, and I’m sure if the TV crew filmed my reaction it would ahve been very similar to the infamous KK draft lady. Ultimately the right pick was made.
That last pick is a gem. I’m imagining Slaf is wearing a cape
I wanted Wright. I was also very accepting of the pick, KH and the new staff had shown no reason to doubt them. What an amazing pick it turned out to be
Great fit they needed a power forward lefty for years
If only we’d known Cooley would score a nice goal in the pre-season. Then we would have definitely taken him over slaf.
If you had to choose 1 player to build your franchise around.
Slaf or Demi?
I apologize for the tough question. Was inspired by Mathas Brunet from BPM Sports.
Slaf, Reinbacher, Demidov. Looking bright.
Don’t forget Lane!!!!
Loved the pick the moment he announced it. Never bought into the Wright hype.
Shane was the definition of mid and still is. Not saying he won’t make it in the league, just glad we didn’t waste our pick on him.
