  1. In Toronto? You’ll be fine. Don’t be an obnoxious prick, and expect some heckling.

  2. Keep in mind that the tickets in Scotiabank arena are insane in comparison to any other arena in the NHL.

  3. Toronto and NJ fan – you’ll be totally fine. I’ve seen tons of games in the nosebleeds of Scotiabank and the worst thing I’ve seen is a drunk fan getting kicked out for being obnoxious.

  4. I had always heard it was impossible to get tickets to games as I had always wanted to visit the HHOF when the Devils were in town there. Maybe someone here has had a different experience?

  5. The only risk may be that too many people offer you sushi and are so nice to you.

May be the odd heckle but nothing like going to Philly!!!!!!!!!!

  6. yeah people arent starting fights in Toronto when they paid 500 bucks for a ticket

  7. It’s not very safe as when leafs see real teams, they become skiddish and can choke so try to ease them to it

  8. I’ve been to many Devils games in Toronto – I’ve only ever had positive experiences, just don’t be a dick and you’ll have a fantastic time!

  9. You say “match” which implies you may be European or English?

If that’s the case, there is likely to be a culture shock between American sports and, say, European football. In American sports, even the most “unfriendly” road games, violence is exceedingly rare. The concept of a police-surrounded “visiting supporters section” is utterly foreign to us, and 99.99% of what happens is good-natured heckling and banter.

Once in a while, someone will get too drunk or out of hand, and they’ll be pretty quickly removed from the arena; just don’t taunt drunk assholes, and you’ll be fine.

  10. The only bad thing is the tickets are so expensive you won’t be able to afford poutine.
