one hopper nice pick on the backand by Vientos and a stretch by Alonzo and they get barred at first base two out well Cruz is a guy who can steal bases and Cruz bangs one to deep left Center back goes Vader back near the wall and it’s out of here and nmo Swinging three and0 clocks one to deep Center and for get that that is way out of here brand and Nimar to the back of the bleachers swinging three and0 and he gets the result he was looking for a two1 shot to tie the game and tles hits one off the end of the bat toward the whole diving stock fos gets up and fires not in time and the Pirates Take the Lead Nick Gonzalez first man to face him slashes one right over the bag that’s a fair ball going down the line Cruz will score C to Third and bounces away for McNeil has for picking it up PES will try and score and he will come in safely all the way to third goes Gonzalez and it’s 5-2 Pittsburgh and this game plan really blew up on the Mets and that gets away from teren and in the score comes Gonzales four runs home in the inning and that’s driven out to right field by palasio C the stands and it’s out of here and palasio slaps one to short a chance for two Lindor to acius but no relay eaus just had to run too far to get to the bag at second and that caused Lindor to hesitate a bit so they get the force but not the double play and that scores Hayes to make it 8 to2

Brandon Nimmo’s two-run home run was the only offense for the Mets in their series finale loss in Pittsburgh, where the bullpen imploded, giving up six unanswered.

  1. Weird road trip for a very weird team. #Mets could've gone 5-3 or 6-2. Also, could've gone 3-5 or 2-6. 4-4 feels just about right. Big homestand coming up to head into break going in the right direction.

  2. Can we please go back to the days when a pitcher was pulled form a game ONLY WHEN HE SHOWED HE WAS DONE! Using the bullpen as if they are part of the regular team is downright stupid and has been shown time after time to NOT WORK! What is the point of having a Starter if you bring in guys who cannot get an out.? It's like cleaning a room only to have a slob come in and mess it up! The cleaning accomplished NOTHING!
