  1. Crochet!!!! šŸ˜‚ kidding; know this is code for a super minor low cost move

  2. Sweet. Iā€™m penciling in Sale, Skenes, and Ohtani. Anything less I will be disappointed.

  3. If ever there was a year to make some splashes itā€™s this year. Lots of options for the position we desperately need.

  4. Seems like Mitchell might be a goner. Barely used at all since he’s been activated. They holding him back so he doesn’t get hurt again? šŸ˜‚.

  5. Crochet, Erick Fedde, Tyler Anderson, Eovaldi.

These are the names that will push us closer to that chip.

Add a couple of solid utility men, and let’s get that trophy.

    FTC, FTD.

  6. This was a really weak article with almost no useful information so I don’t really want to put much time into responding to it. The reality is they already addressed the pitching and have a ton of guys coming back so I think at best they target one fringe starter and maybe one fringe RP. They don’t really have any needs from the position player group so I can’t see them doing much for that. I highly doubt they move another top 20 prospect and whatever they get in the deadline is value at the margins at best and nothing major.

Peralta, Myers, Rea, Civale are pretty locked in as the top 4 starters right now. One of Wilson, Keuchel, Junis, Hall, Ross makes up the final starter. There is depth locked in here so there are options. For 2025 we have Woodruff, Peralta, Rea, Myers, Civale with a bunch of other established options as well as 2 or 3 rookie options so there is no need for a long term solution at this point.

It just seems really unlikely that they are going to give up prospect capital for a big upgrade at SP here unless they feel they are getting an amazing deal.

  7. This isnā€™t even a report lol. All this says is thereā€™s ā€œsome talkā€ and put the brewers ā€œpotentiallyā€ adding a big name.

Itā€™s like if I googled mock brewers trades and wrote an article on it.

I wouldnā€™t hold your breath for a big splash

  8. I’ll believe it when I see it. They’re 1-5 against the NL’s two best teams so I take that as them either needing to add a couple significant pieces or stand pat & hope the guys they have coming back from injury can be a shot in the arm. My gut says it’s the latter but maybe Arnold is more of a risk-taker than Stearns.

  9. lmfao they will overpay for a couple of career journeyman relievers who are having career years, only for them to be predictably awful when the Brewers acquire them.

  10. I think they could get Michael Kopech for cheap and he has one year of arbitration left.

Heā€™d immediately be another talented arm in their bullpen and I think an offseason with the Brewersā€™ Pitching Lab is what his career has been missing šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

  11. What do you guys think it would take to reel in Crochet and what would you be willing to do?

Personally I would take Crochet for Eric Brown (#10), Andruw Monasterio, and their choice of Perkins or Wiemer. Maybe some cash too.

I think they would take that deal too.

  12. “I were on the way into town and ran into this Alex Anthopoulos fella, and he convinced me to trade him Willy Adames for these here magic beans.”

In all seriousness, Milwaukee as a buyer is scary to me as a potential NLDS opponent.

  13. lol, I will believe it when I see it. Journalism these days is just clickbait shit.

  14. Trade for a package of Zach Eflin and AA prospect Chandler Simpson from the Rays. Get pitching help now and a small ball speedster on the basepaths in a year or two.

  15. A big splash for a top of the rotation arms is not gonna get us by the Phillies. I really don’t think giving up multiple high end prospects is going to help us enough in the short term to offset the overall impact the departing talent will have.

I used to lean towards pulling the trigger but after having almost an entire half season watching this team compete I just don’t think we’ll have the horses even with Ortiz and Williams back and healthy.

  16. This feels like when your musician friends post that they have “big things in the works”

  17. Lulz @ believing mark will spend any money to better the team….

… and if he does spend money, it will be purely to spite CC and him begging for players during the championships runs

  18. Iā€™m down for Flaherty for peanuts and a mid level bat ala Canha. Anything more would just be foolish in giving up prospect capital.

  19. Trevor Bauer???? He will play for league minimum and wonā€™t cost any prospects. He fits cheap ass Anastasioā€™s business model perfectly. Donā€™t want to hear any of the libs crying getting their panties in a bunch when Mookie Betts had his back about not being a locker room cancer. Plus he was exonerated for the bs charges against him by the 2 greedy whores. He is being black listed because he is conservative and that libtard Manfred hates conservatives. Also this is the same team that traded for Matt frickin Bush 2 years agoā€¦ A convicted felon!!! A woman beaterā€¦So donā€™t be hypocriteā€™s and check his YouTube channel. Bauer outage and see how he is tearing it up in the Mexican league.

  20. Now that Patrick Sandoval is hurt, I’m pivoting to Kikuchi. Shouldn’t cost much in prospect capital if we take on his salary (prorated from $10mm). And maybe a cost-controlled guy like Ryan Feltner or JP Sears.

  21. Just wait until after the deadline and you hear how they were “in” on Crochett and Luzardo and everyone else people might want. They play the small market victim more than anyone I’ve ever seen in trade season. Really our owner wants to not pay anyone and be competitive as he can without doing so

  22. This is probably an AI written article if itā€™s from Sports Illustrated
