  1. I’m just here for the four paragraph angry /u/NorthStRussia mid season rally post.

Baseball causes me agony I’ll see you all tomorrow.

  2. Did not expect a slump looking at this part of the schedule. Home stand against two mediocre at best teams.

  3. The all-star break isn’t going to change who we are. A team that is one of the worst at slugging and hitting long balls. One of the worst rotations in the league going forward. Our ace can’t even go 5 innings most of the time. We aren’t staying in first place very long. Our offense was shit for 92.5% of the game tonight. Totally dominated after the first 2/3 of an inning.

  4. Worst loss of the year with the potential to be worse if the Cubs lose again later.

Absolute disaster. This team just loves limping into the all-star break.

  5. I would like to formally request that the All Star Break is removed for the foreseeable future

  6. Won what 3 games in the last 10?

    Are you fucken kidding me?

The Nats near the bottom as a team batting yet… they took the series. I wont even be mad if they sweep cuz really this offense has shown nothing to make me optimistic tomorrow.

  7. It’ll be okay. We do this every year pre-ASB.

Need to hit more consistently, need to not give up 12+ hits per game to a shitty Nationals offense, and need a serious starting pitcher acquisition.

Cards will lose tonight, we gain a game back tomorrow, and we trade for Flaherty over the all-star break. Let’s get it.

Reminder again that stretches like these happen to everyone, and this team isn’t cursed or inherently a failure or incapable of winning in the postseason or whatever bc they had a mid-July slump.

  8. Just fucking pathetic. Team looks completely checked out and Murph said it himself yesterday. Lost 7/9 now and almost every loss in the stretch has been some kind of choke

  9. Cardinals are now only 3 back in the loss column. The bad man is soooooo close now. 🥺

  10. Tomorrow is an L. Can’t say what the first game back will look like because we usually do well after the ASB but even this feels like it’s abnormal

  11. Fuck this performance. Absolutely inexcusable- Keuchel starting and weird lineup aside. The team shit the bed so hard.

  12. I’m not giving up. I remember a Brewers team getting swept by the A’s when they were looking like they might set a loss record and making the playoffs.

Of course, they didn’t do anything in the playoffs.

  13. As long as they dont go into the All Star break on a 4 game losing streak I’ll be good

  14. Reminds me of the McCarthy era Packers, relax and takes their foot off the gas when they get a decent lead, and more times than not blow it because of it.
