8. This is a great hire. Really glad we were able to snag him. Might be shorter term, as I’m sure he’ll get another shot at a NHL gig at some point. But he’ll be excellent for Laval.

10. On paper it’s a great hire. A former AHL coach of the year, some NHL experience, and he’s from Laval even.

    I don’t think (as some have said) that he’s likely to ever succeed MSL as coach in Montreal, unless MSL decided not to finish out his contract. Vincent will likely be back in the NHL sooner rather than later. But he’s obviously more than qualified to run Laval for the time being.
