  1. DemiGod will need time and space. The little tricks he is able to pull off in junior hockey will be much more difficult to do in the NHL. He will have to adapt. His linemates will be a big factor. I think he should be on a line with two big guys: Dach and Slafkofski. Caufield and Suzuki are great but the three together are going to be too small and will get dominated along the boards. Slaf and Dach can hold their own against anyone and have a good hockey sense. It would be an amazing trio… Demidov does the magic and creates chaos, Slaf and Dach capitalize on it.

  2. habs fans when they realise this guy's game dangling around bums in a russian junior league doesn't translate to the nhl 😭😭😭

  3. I love we got our hands on Demidov. Although I don't wanna see him in tthe NHL this year and lemme explain. If he does get waived by SKA and Hughes moves him in NA I hope it's for the AHL. He's a great player and all that but NA ices are smaller and his unorthodox skating style might be an issue until he adapts. With that said he might struggle in situation strength and balance are involved. Which is why I think AHL would benefit him. If he ends up being an average 2 PPG in AHL in a 20 game stretch. Well, he's clearly unphase and NHL ready.

  4. The chance of Demidov being available at No. 5 in the draft was extremely slim, a near miracle. Demidov has the talent, the attitude and character to succeed. In addition, he will NOT arrive in Montreal with the pressure to doing everything. The rebuild is already advanced and the offense responsibility will be shared with Suzuki, Caufield, Slafkovskÿ, Roy, Hutson and more. Each of these Habs is capable of taking the pressure in the venerable temple of hockey.
