  1. Why so they can close the roof if it is sprinkling in Madison or if it is 60 degrees outside? Like we do? Love the roof when it is needed and saves a game. But I do despise it when it is just closed.

  2. Bunch of hipster douche bags don’t want a roof it’ll mess with their vibe or something(seriously was hanging out with a friend snd his twins in laws and they said they dint want a roof because it messes with the ambience of open air and messes with the environment)

  3. Nah. Target Field is a spectacular ballpark. Completely different vibe than tailgating in MKE. Both places are great in their own way.

  4. Would it even matter though? We have one and yet MLB constantly schedules our home openers in cold weather non roof stadiums. Might as well save the $

  5. I’m generally in favor of a roof but on a hot summer day when they close the roof it’s steam room time. Like a greenhouse with body heat added. Target field is built in a very limited space. Nice ambiance but very tight fit.

  6. Minny has it backwards. The vikings play a sport that you can play in literally just about any weather conditions(rain, snow, wind, heat etc.), in a nice climate controlled stadium, while the twins play a game that you can’t play in the rain, in an outdoor stadium. That being said, I do like Target Field, but yea, I was worried today on the train to the stadium that we might have a rain-out. Glad it worked out though. I do believe they had a lot of trouble getting funding for the park, and probably had to do it without a roof to keep the price tag down.
