Seems like last post I missed the mark with the inclusion of Pronger on the Edmonton list. The comments were pretty unanimous in saying he didn’t really fit the theme. Apologies to Oilers fans for that one. Hopefully I did better this time around.
Edit: Correction, Sean Burke should be 66 games between 1998-99 and 1999-00
Boyle looks like he’s out of his mind.
Jumbo is such a fuckin beauty
Not putting kovalev in here is kind of crazy but the rest were pretty spot on to what I was thinking
Niemi rocking a Penguins blocker/glove combo in a Panthers jersey is crazy. 5 GP across those two teams combined.
Fuckin Bertuzzi
The wings let Igor walk as a UFA and then traded right back for him after he played those 26 games lol
Ryan Whitney
Obligatory fuck Todd Bertuzzi!
This would have been one of the best teams to list Derick Brassard as it was his shortest stint I think.
I met Tim Thomas at an autograph signing after practice one day. He seemed a bit grumpy, but then again I might be grumpy too if I had to sign autographs in the Florida heat after practice.
I for some reason felt like Bertuzzi was there for longer than 7 games
Panthers blue jersey is one of my favourite in NHL history
As a leaf fan it was weird to see Belfour and Joe leave in the same off season to Florida
Or was there a period where the panthers used the old logo on their helmets with their modern redesign.
I can see that Jumbo and Giroux have the modern jerseys with a modern helmet that uses the palm tree logo, no cat whatsoever.
I was waiting for the Florida one and expected it to have 100 plus players in the list. So many guys had a pit stop there at one point.
Sean Burke played 59 games as a starter the year before so totally 66 games for the cats, Kirk McLean on the otherhand only played 37 so id switch them out, nice list otherwise! (Edit) And of course the whitdog Ryan Whitney
Love Vernon with the Sharks gear
This really helped with puckdoku today thank you
Ewwwwww, giroux in anything but orange is just gross
I actually had literally no idea Thornton played for Florida at all, I have 0 memory of this.
I’d add Jagr, kind of the old school meets the newer franchise
There new jerseys look so fucking clean compared to the old ones. Plus I love that the new ones pay homage to the 101st Airborne.
This might be the best one yet, very few of these guys I remember playing for Florida
I like haw Vernon looks like he got traded, stepped off a plane, and went into the game with his old equipment. Then they used that picture for a card.
Ah, Eric “I never wore the Pride Jersey” Staal
I do not remember Sergei Samsonov at all playing for the Panthers. I just figured he retired early after Carolina.
No Jagr? How long was he here after Jersey?
Thomas Vanek strikes again
Detroit Vipers alum Sergei Samsonov !
Tikkanen and Foligno are mindfucks.
Anyone else remember when Chad Kilger got traded to FLA in 2008 and retired instead of playing for them?
Bonus player: Kamil Kreps – 232 GP over the years – and the creator of a particular blade pattern…
Sean Burke looks like his team was short a goalie, and just threw him in net
They had a good amount of Wings players on there. But fuck Dino
I think I forgot how long the Panthers have been around. Some of these guys predate the Throw Rats era.
For this team you could probably do multiple lists. I’m so damn grateful that we’ve finally managed to evolve from being the team where star players go to play in their twilight years.

Does Vanek have the wrong helmet on here?
