  1. As long as he continue to develop, i have no problem to wait one year before we see him in a habs jersey. I just hope he will get icetime and powerplay.

  2. He’s only 18 he was unlikely to contribute in a major way this year. Let him simmer real good and get him with the team next year. We’ll be watching highlights in the meantime.

  3. One more season until he arrives gives the team an opening/opportunity for a young prospect to see if they are part of the long-term plan. As long as SK is planning to give him quality ice time/development I have no issue waiting.

  4. I can see a world where the Habs are purposely developing a relationship with SKA. That could turn into a 2-way street where Habs prospects who won't quite make the NHL, and SKA is getting to talk to the prospects agents before they go to Europe. In return Bobrov gets access to their scouting reports 😉

  5. 1 year goes quick now since the small C. Don't need 250 goals, you need more goals then you allow. Only the Caps made it, no idea how they made it they were like -30 something. Usually you need a zero or plus to make. I guess they got blown away a lot first Months. Then got better.

  6. Habs are a legendary club. I wouldn't be surprised if they see a future star and want him to play for them before follwing the path of a legend.

  7. Great point Jesse regarding the loss of Sean Monahan's goal production.

Regarding Pierre's comment, it is not only about scoring a minimum of 250 goals. That is only one side of the coin. The defence has to also give up a lot less than 289 goals to progress to the next level. IMO, goal differential is something that should not be overlooked.

Regarding the Demidov discussions, has a statement been released by the Canadiens?
