As soon as we get out of the mess the Diggs contract and some other slip ups cost us, Buffalo’s savior is getting Paid Paid
Maybe I’m just drinking the Koolaid but the way Josh said he would retire if it guaranteed Buffalo a Superbowl win makes me think he’ll even take less than he deserves just to help the team out. I know the NFL is a business and Josh should get the bag, he certainly earned it, but I feel like his mentality and selflessness that hes been exuding, hell wind up taking less to help the team win.
There’s no doubt in my mind that these QBs taking these massive deals like Tua and Love and TLaw, they are hurting their teams chances to retain talent around them with such huge cap hits. Not saying they themselves are doing anything wrong but something has to change with salary cap situations and power creep of QB salaries I think…
The selfishness and demands of some of these top paid QBs is insane to me. Like don’t you want your team to have cap space in order to pay and retain other meaningful and high quality players..? There’s a reason the Chiefs are able to re-sign big names like Travis Kelce and Chris Jones and it’s because Patrick Mahomes is more than willing to restructure his contract in order to pay other talent. That’s how you create a winning team.
