Sims was pretty great to the fans, that’s how I’ll remember him. Hopefully I’ll think of him often whenever the trade return carry’s us to back to back World Series wins.
Already wasting the Greene/Elly window just like we wasted the Votto/Cueto window. Love this organization.
So long, walkmaster lucas sims. I guess my heart rate will be able to go down a touch in high pressure situations now. Thanks for being great to the fans.
Looks like Portes is a project type of pitcher. Still 19 in A ball. Red Sox had him leaning more toward eventually being a reliever instead of a starter, but that could always change in a new system. Probably about as good as you could hope to get from a rental on Sims.
Sims has great potential (just look at his stuff metrics) but always seems to run into the problem of being streaky as hell. Hopefully the Sawks will be able to help him be a stable pitcher.
The longest-tenured Red. Gonna miss him.
There was a stretch last year where he is absolutely untouchable, and when he was entering the game, it was automatic. Hope he finds some success in Boston this year. He was a favorite of mine for awhile.
Hopefully he can get his mojo back. Whatever it was this year he always seemed to walk the leadoff guy and give up a hard hit ball.
May we always remember his killer debut, the rainy game he threw all those balls away because the ump wouldn’t call it, and Baba O’Riley
Off Topic: Am the only one who finds Jeff Passan the most annoying baseball writer of the last 20 years?
Goodbye Mr. Simulations. You were pretty good some of the time
So long, Lukie Tickets 🙁
A man of great stuff that never seemed to be able to control it when the chips were down. He will be missed, but I think someone like santillon is a fine replacement bullpen wise
