Because he was playing in the MHL, going straight to the NHL would be a big jump even if he has the potential for it. Ideally he’d play 1 year with SKA even tho I’m dying to see him with the habs.
Legitimately asking this.. the style of hockey in KHL is likely different than it is in the AHL or NHL, does it really mean that if he can’t be successful there, that he wouldn’t be here?
I think they want to see DemiGOD dominate the KHL. I could see him carry SKA to a Gagarin cup and win the MVP
