man, fuck the cubs.
At least we won the season series. So that’s something I guess
Edit: Clarification
Bad. I do not like.
If anyone wants to buy stock in this team, I’m selling a lot of mine for cheap rn
Welp…..we just need to exercise some more patience here. Trust our “Ace” not to balk things up going forward
It’s hard not to be embarrassment by our showing this series. Supposedly jolted only to flop against our rival. Pathetic display from our offense to say the least. We’re lucky we weren’t swept
Fluke win saved up from not being .500. The “leaders” on this team are embarrassing
This team isn’t doing shit. Football can’t come soon enough.
I know it was a tough series, but the Cubs are always tough for us. We’re only 5 behind the Brewers and we have plenty of games left. See y’all tomorrow
At least the song is catchy
We still won the season series. Cardinals confirmed better than cubs. Confirmed
I’d say we’re trending in a direction. That’s ok, football starts soon.
ESPN having a graphic ready for the Cubs going 4-1 in their last 5?
Get the absolute fuck out of here. I’m salty for sure, but like did they not lose like a billion games before that? They’re still multiple under .500 and 6 back in the Wild Card??
It’s egg on our face this weekend, but don’t tell that to ESPN. “The Cubs made up ground in the NL Central this weekend.” They’re still 8.5 out? What are we doing here?
I mean if you strip this series down to the basics it feels a lot like the season opener against the Dodgers. We:
– Went 1-3
– Against a blue team
– In a series where it could’ve easily been 0-4 or 2-2 depending on a few different things happening
– Helsley blew a save
– Mikolas doesn’t make it through five in his start
– John King gives up a home run off a pitch going through the middle of the plate
Of course it’s against the Cubs so it feels way worse.
