Aaron Civale… ERA is currently sitting at 5.40 (League average is 4.10); Batting average against Civale in 25 innings of work with the Brewers is .275 ( League average is .245) ; In Civale's last start he gave up 4 runs in the 1st inning. That put the crew behind the 8-ball right from the get go. Yes the crew scratched and clawed back to only lose 6-4, but the brewer loss was never in question. How can Pat Murphy strategize around that? You have to give a guy with 25 innings work and a 24 to 10 strikeout to walk ratio another start though. I get it. Also, the Brewers put some effort into getting Civale, so they don't just want dish him that easily. The odds have the Brewers as a -131 favorite and the Reds as a +121 dog. To be honest, I don't like this situation for the crew. I'll predict the Reds win because they'll take advantage of the Brewers trip home riding on cloud 9. You can't get too high or too low in baseball. I think the Brewers are too high. Hope I'm wrong!

Nationals sweeping the crew should be their smelling salts. They played like crap.
We extracted our revenge on the Braves. Last year, end of July, we played them 6 times in 12 days soon after the ASG, we were stacking wins then they came into town and 2 of 3. We went to Atlanta and got swept. 4 HRs vs 11 and 28-17 runs. It was humiliating as it never looked like we could ever beat them.
