  1. Hi, Jesse, Josh, & Friends.
    How are you all doing?

I agree 💯%, Josh. Sawyer, is doing everything the right way. I’ve been trying to keep up with the NCAA. I feel great to be so lucky to have this team. I’m, so pumped for the preseason.

    Have a great night, all!
    Go Habs Digest Go! 😂👊🏼🏒🥅

  2. I can see Evans get dealt for sure.. I like him too but we gotta make room for Beck/Kapanen. Evan’s is gonna want to sign a 4 year deal worth about 2.5 per.. I’d rather have Beck on an entry level contract. We won’t be ready to contend yet anyway because our young defenders are at least 3 seasons away from being a playoff D-Core. We have time to bring in more forwards as well, therefore Jake Evans is a trade piece for me.. Imagine this at the deadline.. Evans, Matheson and Mesar to the Rangers for Othmann or Perrault.. or to the Jets for McGroarty.

  3. What concerns me about Evans is that he's had a few concussions already.
Apart from that.he wasn't flashy, but he was good value for his contract last year.

  4. Evans is a pretty good player. Fortunately for him he’s in a great situation, it’s his contract year and can make a great addition to any contending team and Habs can get a pretty good return. Habs might need to use his roster sport for one of their developing prospects like Beck or Roy

  5. About Evans, it can be argued that the only reason he got the contract was for Bergevin to prove that he can draft and develop, because there weren't that many.

Yes he plays on the PK but it's a bad PK. He's simply not physical enough for a 4th liner. I don't see any trade interest for him and I predict that Kent doesn't sign him out of respect but doesn't resign him either.

  6. I dont dislike Evans, but I think Owen Beck could become an upgrade in a similar role. So long term, considering Evans age, I don’t see him sticking around with the core

  7. It really feels to me like Derosa just picked a few players from the Habs roster with contracts expiring this year to write his article. He forgot to include Dvorak, Armia, and Pezz. In the dog days of summer, there's not much to write about so I guess you need to make up content as best you can.

  8. I like Evans a lot, great team guy, great on PK and in the playoffs. My issue is production, Owen Beck would likely be a serious upgrade. If Evans was consistently getting 20 goals a year I would say sign him yesterday!

  9. It will be the same situation with every single prospect now and that is deciding where in the lineup he has any chance of playing.
I do not see ANY of these prospects unless suddenly playing like Steve Yzerman making top 6 so a ceiling of the 3rd line as a non impact player.
Filling out the third line is a questionable one do you go for scorers that will have little chance to score seeing no PP or ice time or do you go with tough rugged hard to play against guys that are likely cheaper contracts.
