[Friedman] Both Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway have been informed they are St. Louis Blues. Oilers do not match.

  1. I think it is a bit of an overpay, but it feels like a nice lottery ticket for two young first round talents. The contacts aren’t that long and it gives the team some assets. Nice job GM!

  2. I feel like we’re going to offload leddy to regain either a 2nd or 3rd round pick because we are rolling 9 defense on our roster( 5 LHD as well)

  3. I completely disagree with the idea of this being some overpay. These were not players on the blues roster. The dollars we are paying above their perceived market value (and the picks) was simply the cost of acquiring players that were not on the roster. Cap space dollars was the asset we used to acquire the players.

  4. If broberg and Holloway pan out to what they’re expected to be this is a monstrous fleece.

  5. Nobody’s asking the important question. How the hell does Doug Armstrong walk when he has to haul around that massive hog?

  6. Was a bit disappointed after the Blues didn’t make a splash in the free agent market but this more than makes up for it

  7. This was a fucking roller coaster, but GOD DAMN I did not expect to be this hype about hockey in August

  8. I wonder how our left side shakes out now. We have Leddy, Broberg, Sutter, Scotty P(probably moves to RD), POJ and Tucker all on 1way contracts.

  9. Ok. Now that it happened and I can’t ignore it, I guess I just gotta ask… what the fuck is an “offer sheet”?

  10. A 5th in Paul Fischer, a 3rd, a 2nd and 3rd to match, and we downgrade from a 3rd to a 5th. It’s not as simple as we get two firsts for a 2nd and a 3rd. 2025 draft will be 1st round, 5th, and 6th. Overall there are massive upsides but we sacrifice depth to do it.

  11. Who else is expecting Krug to be done for at least the season? I think the info about his injury [surgery or not] should drop in the next week or two.
