  1. 😂😂😂 i dont think the org didnt know they signed an offer sheet, lmao the point is they signed an offerr sheet 😂😂 i think they jumped the gun on this one and we will point and we will laugh.

  2. Edmonton offer Broberg 2 yrs @1.1M, and Holloway 3 yrs @ 1.05M LMAO what a slap in the face, im glad they got paid elsewhere. Hope Leon leaves that dump too.

  3. This is a major blow to us Oilers fans. What was the point of all the trades and cap clearing to let them walk. Absolute garbage. I blame Jeff Jackson for hiring Stan Bowman and I blame Ken Holland for starting this mess. UGGGGHHHH😡😡😡😡😡

  4. Oilers didn’t lose them. They chose to let them go. The players chose to chase money while the club is building a winning culture. When veterans are taking friendly deals then the management is wise to let these 2 players go instead of scrambling to match the offer sheets, which didn’t justify their current values. Of course, letting these 2 players and traded Ceci really free up cap space for better acquisition in near future. Turning a negative into slight positive speaks volumes for the current management team. This set up for building a formidable team by trade deadline. Really good 👍🏻

  5. How is it overreacting to say this is a big blow to the Oilers youth. This is one of the oldest teams in the league who just gave up on their two best young guys

  6. Imagine thinking a professional should take less money to do a job in -30 weather when he could do the same job elsewhere for over twice as much money in 50 degree warmer weather and less taxes.

  7. I notice that many of the comments are based on some kind of biased view or silly hatred of Edmonton and not based on the hockey value of this situation. Would you view this deal in the same way if your team was involved ? Somehow I doubt it.

  8. Every juvenile armchair GM’s gonna splatter their gibberish around this forum.

St. Louis OVERPAID, for 2 relatively unproven NHL prospects! We gambled they’d comply like good soldiers, but the malcontent, Broberg & snakebiten, Holloway chose the temporary, lucrative route. I wish them the best, but any franchise willing to allow either players or other teams to undermine their business, are doomed to fail. Our immediate focus is on the Cup, selfish attitudes are cancerous in the dressing room.

  9. Stan BOZOman the CLOWN. HONK HONK!!!!!!!!
Start the countdown until McDavid pulls a Gretzky in 2 years. They say history repeats. Bye Gretzky and McDavid. Bye Felicia, I mean Stan BOZOman.

  10. Yet they pay Nurse 9.5 million, I don't understand Edmonton's thinking. Nurse sucks and they let 2 of their 1st rounders just walk out the door. They will regret this I'm sure.

  11. I don't get it. They traded Ceci allready. They need those young guys that can play. Both have potential to be key players for them. They better use that cap space wisely after this one.
