  1. WHAT A FUCKING WAY TO ENTER THE 40/40 CLUB.

Also that fan that dropped that ball gonna be punching himself everyday for the rest of his life lmao

  2. Actually this was not enjoyable and I should get at least a sumimasen from Mr Ohtani

  3. Fuck you Ohtani. You fucking super nice guy with beautiful hair that plays the game the right way.

Fuck you and I hope you stub your toe on the corner of your coffee table.

  4. Already one of my favorite baseball moments I’ve watched live. Thank you, king 🥹

  5. I got a kick out of seeing Mookie in the on-deck circle with no possible outcomes resulting in him getting up this inning.

    Gotta keep up the routine!

  6. Imagine explaining to someone in say 2010, that in 2024, a top tier pitcher for the Dodgers would not throw a pitch all season because of elbow surgery, but that he would still hit 40 home runs and have 40 stolen bases. What Ohtani has done for this sport is just beyond incredible!

  7. Saw that coming from 3,000 miles away

I’ll be avoiding this sub for the foreseeable future, please allow me to recover in private from this trying time.

  8. Every night, I watch the Yankees at 7 and then the Dodgers at 10. Never seen *anything* like the Judge and Ohtani show, not even when McGwire and Sosa were chasing Maris. This is insane.

  9. Issuing a five-pitch walk with two away in the ninth and Shohei Ohtani on deck is the sort of thing where you have to expect something very, very bad is about to happen to you.

And lo, it did. Weep not for the pitcher, for he could not throw strikes to Max Muncy.

  10. I almost panicked because for a second, as he was running toward home, it looked like he was going to run to ~~Teo~~ Rojas to celebrate. Then [Rojas pointed to home and] he remembered he had to touch home.

    That’s our unicorn himbo!

  11. It is Saturday afternoon here in Japan. I jumped up and down in the living room while having lunch with my family.
