Only explanation is it was a little something to guarantee Edmonton wouldn’t match.

Looks like we gave Edmonton a 3rd pick and a prospect to finish the deal with no hard feelings.
This is a “No hard feelings” type of trade.
Who is Paul Fischer?
At the risk of ridicule, can someone explain to me this ‘match’ thing? I get trades and all that, but being new to hockey (fell in love with the sport Feb. 2020, right before Covid) this is a new to me.
