  1. It’s always so weird to see him in a jersey now, i legit thought he was gonna pull a Joe D and just show up in three piece suits from now on

  2. I’m glad I’m not going crazy thinking this as well. He leads the league in IBB at 16 but with the way he’s hitting I’m really not sure why teams still pitch to him.

  3. I’m just glad Austin Wells has made them pay a lot of the time since he got moved into cleanup.

  4. I mean Bochy tried it when we played the Yankees recently. Stanton then decided to do Stanton things and hit the bomb Bochy was intentionally trying to avoid.

    That’ll stop the intentional walks

  5. i think people are truly underestimating how much pride/ego pitchers have. some of these guys are only going to face Judge (or a hitter of his caliber) a couple times in their entire career. people pitched to Bonds too! it’s gotta feel great to say you struck out a generational hitter

  6. Oh, of course he’s back in new york. Did this bum even do anything notable for the marlins? Was that some sort of scheme?

  7. Because its still mathematically better to pitch to him.

Sure if there is a runner on 2nd and 1B is open, walk him, but flat out walking him every time would lead to more runs being scored

  8. It’s for the same reason that pitchers pitched to Barry Bonds: they figured he couldn’t hit *their* fastballs. They learn the hard way.

  9. The Mets swept the season series against the Yanks solely because they walked him relentlessly. I am a loss as to why anyone throws the ball where near the zone. The gap between him and anyone batting behind him is larger than anywhere in the league. Just walk him.

  10. Check out Barry Bonds’ career after the 73hr season. Pitchers gave him almost nothing to hit. Judge should be treated the same at this point.

  11. Jeets looking tiredddd

In a just world, Jeter would be too ashamed to ever show his mug in public again.

  12. The Mets learned not to pitch to him and they went 4-0 against the Yankees.

Well, except Jake Diekman. He’s allowed to strike him out.

  13. Man Jeter is one of those guys I never expected to age for some reason

But yeah…it is finally catching up to him
