A 2md for Harris is great. Adding a potential 6'5" goal scorer is an amazing throw in. I predict 25 goals this season for Laine
Already said in here but Habs got Laine and a 2 rd pick which is were Harris was picked and an expandable defense considering how stacked is their defense and just opening a spot for one of the current rookies situation on the blue line
9 millions per year 😱
I would do that trade all day go HABS go Laine
Laine could be a key power play element for habs. lets hope this will materialise on the ice. not just on paper. But we can look forward to seeing Laine score many goals if chemestry bounds with whoever clic on the ice. As long as the results are there. And if Josh Anderson finds his game back this also can give a boost to the Mtl Canadians. Positive thinking guys 🙂
I am now a Montreal Canadians fan. Help get the cup back to Canada Patrick!
Harris is a stalwarth young man with a good head on his shoulders, CBJ will love him. A solid bottom four defensive defensemen with some offensive upside.
This guy was a messiah in WPG, got dumped to Colombus where Hockey is not even #5 in popular sports. Some people need the love and attention to rise, kind of like Kovalev and Radulov. I feel he will explode in our current Habs environment. Its gonna be a crazy season!
No risk no reward…could be a fantastic deal for the habs…I personally think with the young talent on that team he will do great.
let's wait and see, maybe he as turned the page and is becoming a man.
When was the last time the habs acquired a star foward like so? Was Kovalev the last one
This was a massive cap dump for a loser that cant get out of his own ego
why can’t be october already
As a fellow Finn, I love the guy WHEN he's going. I think he needs to improve his skating, but he is really really good on his shots. I hope he takes this opportunity and really shines in Montreal.
The Canadiens made the right move.
One important thing to keep in mind. Most people radically change when they're young. They mature. They learn from their mistakes. They seek redemption. Let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt in that respect instead of agonizing (like Habs fans are wont to do) over the potential (not PROBABLE) doom and gloom. Life is more fun this way.
no background music please. its more tiring for the brain to process two things at once and its insulting both to yourself and to me that you think you need drum and bass to keep my attention.
One one word Q: Fortnite? This will tell you his future…
The Goalden Finn
SO MONTREAL GETS RID OF ANOTHER HEAD CASE IN JONATHON DROUIN AND GOES AND TRADES FOR ANOTHER THAT WILL COST MONTREAL 7.5 MILLION A YEAR …A PLAYER WHO HAS NO EMOTION….HAS NO PHYSICAL GAME…..DOES NOT BACK CHECK…..DOES NOT PLAY TEAM DEFENCE AND NEEDS A PERFECT PASS TO SCORE IF HE CAN STAY WITH THE PLAY (SLOW/LAZY SKATER)…..YUP GOOD TRADE MONTREAL
Laine will flourish under St Louis, his guidance as well as his patient approach in teaching without
adding pressure while learning a new system. Laine will love his new team, he will quickly fit in and
thrive under St Louis who as we all know has a nack for moulding players the right way.
Does Laine make you a cup contender? It makes the team better but Montreal is not in a position to.want to be better yet. Just seems like a bad shortcut to me
Smart move
Losing Harris doesn't sting much. We Hab fans wish him well, but we have a deep and talented bunch of D-men prospects
Laine passes to Nick, who passes to Cole. He scores!!! And, uh, have you heard about this kid Ivan?
Don't forget Laine's size either; when he chooses to play physical, he's a beast.
Its a great exchange harris to a 2nd round in 2026
Laine will wake up he was having personal problems have to respect that
He got 2 years to prove himself and get a big contract after that i believe he will show his value to get a big contract either with montreal or another team im really happy with the trade specially with a big talent player like Laine
Best option is he scores 30 and resigns for 7.5 * 6 years
