OK Guys.. It’s time to take a look at the Montreal Canadiens 2024-2025 Lineup! With Patrik Laine inserted into the top 6.. This Habs team looks much better on paper than it did this time last year. Let’s dive right into it.

  1. Just wanted to add that Newhook and JoshuWawa can easily switch places here in my lineup. But I'd like to see Wawa get a legit top 6 opportunity with skilled players just to see what he can do.. Kids got some skills.

  3. With how lazy has looked in the past I would put Newhook with them just because he grinds in the corners way more than Wawa, and hutson I gotta imagine starts with savard if he makes the team

  4. I would like to see Mario with Dach and Laine. He was on a pace of 21 goals even with 12-13 min a game, a ugly start of the season and being retrogated to the AHL. It would make a heavy 2nd line and put him in a very good position to perform and increase is value. His puck protection and poise would be a nice addition to a still young center in Dach. Laine and Mario also played two season together in Winnipeg and are countrymen.
    I would also like to see Wawa with Newhook. See if they could thrive together. Could be a nice duo for Anderson to bounce back also

  6. Agree with you but I almost feel Laine could end-up on the first line with Suzu & Caulf and young boy Slav will play with Dach and Roy, the 3 kids together. But again, you can't put Laine with Caulf. The start of the season will be extremely interesting.

Crazy idea but i think caufield should play on the 2nd line laine gos up to first caufields fallen into the shadows of slaf and suzuki and i think he needs to have his own line where he can have playmakers with dach and roy but be able to be the number 1option giving him more opportunities and shots

  19. Laine – Dach – Roy makes a lot of sense Dach – Roy playmaking with Laine finishing. Roy is a capable 2 way player and can finish.

    I agree Newhook / Roy interchange at top 6 wing

    I feel like samecould be said for Armia/Gally/Andy in bottom 6

    Newhook – DVO – Gally would be a great checking/scoring third line hopefully Beck / Evans as the centre before season ends

    Armia – Evans/Beck – Andy
    Is an insane 4th live to have

    Florian / Beck / Tuch as call ups

    Sorry Pezzetta your ass better calice up, you’ll be riding pine in the NHL or the bus in the AHL

    Where I don’t agree is D pairings

    Matheson – Ghule until Matheson is moved

    Hutson – Savard

    Hutson – Reinbacher

    Wifi – Barron / Reinbacher / Mailloux

    I can’t wait for

    Ghule – Mailloux
    Hutson – Reinbacher
    Wifi – Bogdan

  20. Armia – Newhook – Gallagher line was really good last year. I would not break that up if Roy is on the second line which I really doubt. However, could be more trades as Devo could be moved before the season starts.

  21. The big question this year is: will they stay healthy? I agree with you that Joshua Roy is the better play maker and the best candidate to feed Laine. I think that putting Newhook on the third trio is a good idea. We need a good third trio if we want to compete. When Demidov is going to join the team, the probabilities are that Both Newhook and Roy will be on the third trio. This puts Gallagher Armia and Anderson competing for a spot on the fourth trio. Can you imagine? These three guys were once top six contenders. Something has got to happen at one point because you have Owen Beck coming along, you have Alex Barre Boulet who is a talented forward who can play on the pp, this is without mentioning all the coming of age prospects that are pushing at the gates.. Gallagher Armia Anderson and Dvorak have better start fighting for their spots and it better start to show because they will lose their chairs. If I was Anderson, I'd be doing heavy thinking and training because right at the start of training camp he is going to show that he wants his place on the team.
