No. Simply bringing players back because they were here before isn’t actually solving any problem. There is, after all, a reason he cleared waivers.
The only reason we should even consider picking him up is if Harris is going to be out for 4 weeks.
No.
Retirement coming
A Duvall/Laureano/Heyward/Soler outfield would absolutely wreck opposing teams in 2019.
Please, no.
The guy is barely a .200 hitter anymore. We certainly don’t need another dead bat.
thanks but no thanks.
he should be given some tickets to the next home series tho.
Country rooooaadss take me hoooommme
I haven’t paid much attention to him since he left the Braves. BUT- I did see him hit a ball like 9 million feet out of straight away center at Disney one spring. It was silly. Would have loved to know the exit velo on that baby. My dad still talks about that.
Been there, done that with little success
It’s got nothing to do with “bringing him home.”
Duvall is hitting .185 with a .575 OPS.
Heyward is hitting .208 with a .682 OPS.
Cutting Duvall and signing Heyward may not look like a fix, but it is an improvement. It’s a low risk gamble that I honestly don’t have a problem with.
Justin Dean a better option and he’s in AAA
I remember being absolutely ecstatic when he hit that homer off of Carlos Zambrano as a rookie and even for about the first month of the season that year. He has been mostly downhill ever since. Made tens of millions based off of potential that he never quite got to.
