Let the kids play and see what happens. Really just waiting for September call ups now. Hopefully we can get a better draft pick for next year.
Sad what this team has become
Chat…we are cooked.
Let’s fire Oil because you know .500 baseball is unacceptable
Patience has run thin in these parts
Out hit them both games. Still lost.
The Oli Mo show is becoming the – no one in the seats show.
Boooooo, boooooooo
If these crowds shock us, Thursday will be something. It’s gonna be over 90 degrees for a weekday game to see this product.
YOU DON’T WIN GAMES LEAVING NINE RUNNERS IN SCORING POSITION.
If you think this team is bad wait until next year. We lose a lot of cheap arms with little money to replace them.
Fuck Mozeliak . Fuck Marmol. Fuck the Dewitts.
Romero 2024 ERA: 2.61
King 2024 ERA: 2.79
Romero High Leverage ERA: 7.94
King High Leverage ERA: 9.00
Romero 2nd Half ERA: 3.27
King 2nd Half ERA: 3.97
Romero August ERA: 3.24
King August ERA: 3.86
King faced two batters in the 6th allowed a hit to one and hard contact to another. Just straight malpractice man.
Why does our approach with RISP suck so fucking bad? Is there a reason this team is continually taking the same type of ABs with RISP that haven’t been working ALL YEAR? I’m really confused as to why our approach with bases loaded is to swing as fucking hard as you can until you strikeout or popup. It’s maddening.
Sure the pitching staff gave up 7, but we had 2 consecutive bases loaded innings and walked away with 0 runs.
Anybody else think that Mozeliak is just doing stupid shit just to spite the fans because everybody hates him and because he thinks his shit doesn’t stink and that he is God’s gift to this franchise? I mean like DFAing Shawn Armstrong why exactly? Not like he’s been horrible. I hate him with a fiery passion that consumes my soul. I wish nothing but bad luck on the man.
with each passing day we inch closer to beating the padres
We must starve the virus to kill it.
That game was a microcosm of the season. Looked rough early. Battled back. Then let it slip down the stretch.
At least we aren’t the whitesox
Here’s a fun stat! The cardinals are 29th in wRC+ with RISP, 28th in AVG, 30th (😭) in SLG, 30th in home runs, and 25th in RBIs!
Over/under we break lowest attendance again tomorrow?
Tomorrow they’ll drop the series after giving zero run support, and then Monday they’ll decide to hit the ball (or the Padres will give up) and they’ll win a meaningless game.
BD3 has all the humility of Ozymandias and the talent of DJ Khalid. He is the personification of the Dunning-Krueger Effect. We need to put public pressure on the DeWitts to sell the team, before we become the next Oakland.
Get rid of Mikolas
If there’s a positive it’s that Shildts Philosophy is Kicking MO’s Philosophies ass. I don’t mind that for him:-)
I don’t think we need to continue to call these “Cardinals After Dark.” It’s always dark here. Like Mordor.
I’ve tried to stay positive through some rough series knowing this franchises’ history of miraculous playoff pushes but, today is the day where I tell myself “It’s over”. I’m done glancing at the Braves’ score to see if we’re gonna gain or lose a game or anything of that nature and also done at getting mad at games that are essentially pointless. Marmol and Mo are not it. They both made absolutely moronic decisions today and the empty seats are just so sad to see. It’s an absolute clown show up there. Let’s hope for a .500 season and some Walker AB’s. Goodnight guys and it least we did better than last year :-(.
Thursdays game will almost assuredly be the lowest attended game in the DeWitt era. Including a Covid game
Cards Game? In this economy?
It was so 2024 cardinals for Arenado to hit two almost home runs and then ground out to end the game lol
We all float down here
Kansas City lost 106 last year and they’re tied for 1st in late August now.
What are we doing? I hate it all.
Schildt’s team is 76-58. Marmol’s team is 65-67. Go ahead and tell me firing Schildt was good for the team.
Damn. Manny has fisted us this series
Happy for Shildt though. Wish our roster as stacked as the one he’s managing now
Could be worse. At least the Cards didn’t buy in on Montgomery like the D-Backs did
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the stands that empty. Why go to see them play that kind of baseball?
Who saw this coming?
anyone who is even peripherally connected to our offensive coaching staff needs to go. anyone who’s even made eye contact with anyone on the offensive coaching staff needs to go.
I expect them to be given the rest of the season, but even if it’s just a sacrificial, symbolic, firing, anyone who even knows where Turner Ward’s office is should be fired the minute the season ends. this club needs a sea change– I believe the bottom line is players doing their damn jobs, but whatever philosophy we’re clinging to is clearly a losing one.
