4. GLAD San Jose got him keep him out west, i really wanted the Leafs to get him, they missed at the draft as they were behind nashville. i think he will eventually shine in san jose once they get a competing roster.

5. Really good trade for San Jose. Their forward group and goaltending are starting to shape up long term – their defense (especially RD) needs a lot of work but they are building nicely right now.

11. Askarov and blackwood is actually a sick tandem. SJ gonna be fun to watch with celibrini, eklund, bordeleau (hopefully) and now Askarov!

15. I guessed Askarov to the Sharks in the comment section of a previous video. I got one.

16. I always wondered why Nashville drafted him in the first place. Saros was already to be an NHL starter and Askarov wasn't a need at that point in the draft so he was probably at best a backup in the near sense. The other thing I thought was odd was that Nashville were clear they didn't want a goalie back but they took one anyway.

19. As a sharks fan i think Nashville got fleeced for a potential franchise goalie. I was so scared we gave up some of our good prospects. Edstrom was by far the weakest 1st round prospect we have and you could see it in the prospect games. If we have to give up a 1st to get askarov im all for it. This sharks team is going to be fierce sooner than later and im glad all the pieces are coming together. This season is going to be so fun to watch.

21. Cant understand where Nashville feels Saros this far is anything more then Rinne. Meaning is he good enough to win the cup. Askarov was easily good enough to get a chance to be Saros backup at the beginning of the season. I cant help him being Russian was his problem for Trotz. Didnt understand the length of the Saros contract either
