  1. Are you guys seeing this monstrous roster the Habs will align along this coming season ??? Kent Hughes and his teammates have done a wonderful job up to now. Go, Habs, Go !!!

  2. If Laine was lazy, how then could he develop such skills without working hard ?? It doesn't come without effort and will, so I do trust Hughes and Marty will know how to get Laine to remember who he is and how much talented he is. The Montreal's crowd will not let him fall asleep and will always remind Laine the expectations we all have regarding his potential.

  3. The key thing you are not mentioning with Caufield was his laughably low shooting percentage last season. One more full offseason removed from that shoulder surgery. I wouldn't bet against him.. He's scored at ridiculous rates at every level

  4. How you don't mention guhle.. he is the number one left handed defense man… yea he's playing on the right only cuz of the log jam.. I won't be subscribing.

  5. What i’s worried about is how he’ll take assignment to 2nd line. If he finds chemistry fast with Dach then all fine. If Dach gets injured and they put Kerfoot in center we will se ”lazy” Laine all over again.

  6. Don't underestimate the way Laine will respond to being a valued "team-member," and being coached by MSL. That illusive thing winning hockey teams have — chemistry — is just well-combined character.

I predict 45 goals for Patrick this year, and improved results for Nick, Juraj, Cole, etc.

  7. First time I’ve watched Hectic Hockey as a Habs fan and I was impressed! To start the season, put Laine on the second line. It takes the pressure off of him and doesn’t take anything away from Caufield. Let things flow as the season progresses!!!

  8. if the habs wants Laine to get 50, put him with Suzuki. he's their best center, his passes are great and he can feed Laine nicely. i like Caufield alot but that top line left wing spot is now up for grabs

  9. Similar to PLD, this story isnt about "Can Laine put up numbers he did in Winnipeg?". This story is, what Patrick are you getting? The frustrated one man team where he tries to go full Mcdavid and gets stripped trying to go end-to-end. He's a slug. As a Jackets fan who's entire family are Canadians fans, I was happy to get anything back. I've been a fan of Laine and found myself making excuses for his play year after year. I hope he does well for the Habs, but dont get your hopes up guys, he was a lazy slug before missing most of last season.
