  1. Potential for one of the best off seasons in SJ history and good on Grier for making it happen. I like how he adds little fail-safes in deals like the conditional pick for Vegas and he seems to have a solid vision of what kind of team he wants. The Ceci trade is the only one Im kinda meh on because you bring him in for veteran presence on the blueline, that has not prospects going into the lineup.

  2. Agree that the team has done a great job lining up superb prospects, especially on offense….and bringing in Toffoli and Wennberg also was smart. ..Not so impressed with the D'allandrea, Kunin and Grundstrom signings…this creates a logjam in the bottom six with mediocrities who didn't contribute that much even when they were on much better teams. They have lots of talented young forwards who deserve a crack at some of these slots – like Bordeleau, Musty, Guschin and Bystedt. Agree the D should be slightly better this year, but 3rd pair vets like Ceci, Rutta and Benning can only get you so far. I hope they make room for Mukhamedullin to play for the Sharks this year at D, and bring on Dickinson 1-2 years down the road. In goal, Blackwood was MUCH better than his stats would suggest – just look at the crappy team he had in front of him – and he and Askerov will make a great 1-2 pair. All in all, this should be a fun team to watch this year

  3. Great draft, great trades, and some good signings this offseason. Firing Quinn was also a very necessary first step. The tear down is complete. All the moves this offseason were steps towards building the team back up. Now we’ll see how the new coaching staff develops these players and provides the right opportunities.
