The San Jose Sharks’ Future Is Looking DANGEROUS…
After the 2024 NHL Entry Draft and the HUGE Yaroslav Askarov trade with the Nashville Predators, the San Jose Sharks’ future is looking to be INCREDIBLE!
Today I went through their ENTIRE future with their prospect pool at forward, defense and goaltending to see just how GOOD this Sharks lineup could look soon!
So how SOLID is this future Sharks’ core? And can they win the first Stanley Cup in Sharks history? Let’s find out!

Y'all this San Jose Sharks rebuild has got me BUZZING! What are YOUR thoughts on their rebuild so far? And how successful do YOU think they'll be with this core coming up? I'd LOVE to know YOUR thoughts! #GravGang #RoadTo80kSUBS
And a BIG shoutout to SharkCityHockey on Instagram for the Askarov edit!
What happened to your mullet bud? lol Yes I think the Sharks will be fun to watch although I’m a Flames fan and you know what is going on here eh?
Yeahhhhh. no
Future dynasty? Let's relax a bit 😂
They will be the Buffalo Sabres in 6 years. No team has ever won the cup after just making early draft picks for 10 years. Even the Oilers can’t get it done and Celebrini is basically just a clone of RNH so the Sharks have to make sure to surround this team with some playoff experienced vets or else the kids will just become complacent with losing and not be bothered by it. Like the Sabres and Habs.
What’s with all these bots 😂
Sharks vs Habs cup final 2029
Kasper Halttunen reported to return to the London Knights in the OHL for 2024-2025. Information comes from an interview with Mark and Dale Hunter, owner and head coach for the London Knights. It was in the news, London Free Press
The Mukhamadullin hate is wild he’s the sharks 2nd best defensive prospect
Good prospect pool does NOT equal Stanley cup contenders. If this was true, the Blue Jackets, Leafs and Sabres would have each won 2 cups over the last 10 years
San Jose should of went for d aigle next draft
Mukhammadulin has top pairing potential and a floor of 2nd pairing, and should get there as early as in 2 seasons
I never understood why Nashville drafted Askarov, Saros was just starting to break out and everyone was calling him the next starter after Rinne retired, and then they draft askarov
yep,Sharks have an awesome prospect pool. They'll be back on winning track soon
Sharks were always great was depressing. Good to see them suck now, soon they should be good but still far away.
While the last two off seasons have been encouraging the Sharks have been a train wreck for the last several seasons so let’s pump the breaks on the dynasty talk
Ready for that Hawks-Sharks rivalry
Especially if the Hawks get Hagens
Collin Graf could sneak into the top-6 eventually
Here's my wildcard pick Forge.
They'll at least another high end top-6 forward or 2. Shark will be bottom dwellers (bottom 3 team in the NHL in the 24-25 season) and likely another bottom 5 team in the 25-26 season. For the next 1-3 seasons thereafter, they should have another top-10 pick or two or three. So the forward group will improve. In 2028, BTW, Tyfolli's contract will be over after the 27/28 season,, don't know why hes included in the top forwards for 2028, but even if he were still on the team no way he'd be a top-6 forward at that age. He should be replaced by a younger, much better winger. I would guess they'll look to add a true no.1 D in the 25 draft (Unless they win the lottery again, which wouldn't be the least bit surprising), a high-end top 5 overall winger in the 26' draft and some combo of forwards and Defense in the following 2-3 drafts where they should still have at least 2, possibly 3, 7-12 overall picks. They still have holes in their line-up (looking like only 2 top-4 defenseman (Dickinson, Muka/Ferraro, and possibly Walman (depending who he is paired up with), so adding a true two-way no.1 D and another top 4, ideally one who is excellent defensively and can make a solid first pass to exit the D-zone. In 2028, the roster this dude showed will be far different. Funny how he just assumes Graf, Halltunnen, Bystedt, Wench, Cherny will all become NHLers. Will be exciting in Cali with Sharks and Ducks on relatively similar time-lines (Ducks prob 1-2yrs ahead), though LA will likely continue to be mediocre; make the playoffs but a 1st or 2nd round exit (Blake shouldn't have rushed the rebuild).
Defense is the big weakness I see. You've got Dickinson, but that's one guy. The other guys look like they'll be mediocre for the most part.
I like Augg better than Ask
