Who is the best player to never win a Hart trophy?

Mike Bossy. One of the most dominant goal scorers of all time and best player on a team that won 4 Cups in a row.
Yzerman
Yzerman
I refuse to answer. The majority of these guys have a real argument to win. My personal bias is Lidstrom and Bure.
Lidstrom. No one was more valuable
Ooof that’s a good one, but I’m going Brodeur
I’ll go Marcel Dionne.
Yzerman
Yzerman or Lidstrom. Yzerman had the bad luck of playing when Gretzky and Lemieux were in their prime.
Stevey Y
Iginla
Dionne
There’s a massive argument for this entire list. Bossy Lidstrom Yzerman Bourque Brodeur…guys like Dionne Iginla Bure. A lot of these names were crucial to their teams success. And some the only star on their team. And most played same era agaisnt guys like Gretzky, Lemiuex etc. tough
Yzerman or Lidstrom. Both created a decade long dynasty
Bourque
Bourque
Lidsrom looks scary in that photo
Yzerman or Lidstrom. They were incredible!
Just were unlucky to be playing at same time as Gretzky and Lemieux.
lidstrom.
Marcel Dionne
Yzerman or Dionne
I’ll choose lidstrom over Yzerman in this one. A near technically perfect defenseman is more valuable than a power forward
Datsyuk
Probably Marcel. Being in L.A he was overlooked. Him and hawerchuk are probably the most underrated players to ever play.
John Scott, the all star
Lidstrom. Look at all the seasons he played. to play at that high a level for that long and never win MPV…maybe its just bad luck because he played for Red Wings team loaded with talent.
First off. What a list to choose from. Every single skater is a total legend. You got the captain Stevey Y., Ray Bourque, possibly the most solid guy to ever lace em’ up. Damn, Pavel Bure from my hometown, who I watched play a few times, this guy was the fastest skater I have ever seen and had no fear about going right to the net. Mike Bossy was my childhood hero and was unmatched until the Great One and the Oilers subplanted the NYI as a dynasty. Dionne and Iginla were work horses that also happened to be top 5 skaters. They both played internationally, where they were really good.
For my part, it has to be between Brodeur and Lidstrom. They are each the GOAT at their position. Their stats and highlights look made up because they are so good.
I am going to go with Brodeur.
Yzerman. Detroit had no one else in the 80s. One man show. Most points ever by someone not named Wayne or Mario.
Lidstrom. All the Norris’ were the voters reasons for not giving him a Hart too.
As an Avs fan… Probably Yzerman. He changed his whole style and was the model of consistency. I hated that team but respected the hell out of him and Lidstrom.
