Do you think that having three pics of next year's draft could hurt the development of the other young guys on the team with very little minutes to go around
But tylor hendrix played in the gleauge which is a new thing
So is that minutes thing the same for guys at other positions like cody williams who on this team will have to play some 2 guard and sf to get 1000 minutes due to the amount of players on this roster
As a starter last season, Hendricks averaged 26 mins/night
We might of won the title the last 2 years if we added a piece instead of break up the team that had the best record in the league 1st time in Jazz history. break up the team for no reason was ridiculous. Even Stockton and malone playing together 18 years never had best record in the league. Mitchell has got better since we traded him also he so young not even to his prime and we trade him and Conley and gobert and Bogan and royce
I have to say @MaLaws last comment in the live chat was hilarious!! He’s just mad he’s gotta watch Rudy Gobert film! lol
The Mavs brought Alex Jensen in specifically for Derrick Lively… gotta be awkward.
Paul pierce tweeting “protect your jobs”. Regarding the mostly international MVP race.
KD saying the best offense is just dribbling down the court and going off instinct.
The US AAU mentality/nba clique culture is bullshit. It’s holding the game back.
is it correlation or causation? maybe the good guys like Dirk etc had good careers and played a lot of minutes because hey were already good enough to play , not because they had to be spoon-feeded with minutes?
Locke, it's sort of a silly argument. More minutes doesn't necessarily make them a much better player, worthy of a long NBA career. It is (primarily) that much better players just get more minutes… because they are better players.
i guess better in transition defense = not crashing an offensive board on a miss and not turning the ball over
taylor was at 21 minutes a game in the 40 games he played in. I think this year he gets to 75 games with 25 min that's 1875 mins. We need to trade both JC's, taylor and Cody take their mins. I actually think we would better both short and long term.
It isn't just that he plays those minutes. He has to earn the playing time that leads to 25 min a night. If that happens, then you have a much higher chance of getting the kind of player that we hope these guys will be in the NBA.
Derrick Lively proved he's an absolute bum!
Usually when I hear about people's top food spots I have to disagree quite a bit but man you are spot on with your spots. Never had Cortona though but I'll have to now.
Now factor in how many were 19 when drafted in the last 30 years. Then consider the fact that we have 7 other guys around 20 that also need minutes.
My guess is that Hendricks is a lost cause. The jazz made a bad draft pick. The only thing left is how before the jazz give up on him.
I haven't seen anything out of him to think he'll ever be good for the jazz.
I'd like to be wrong and I'm not an expert, but I have been watching the NBA for decades and I just don't see it with Hendricks.
Remember the Core 4? Kanter, Favors, Heyward, Burks.
At first, the jazz were playing Millsap and Jefferson.
Many fans were complaining with real anger about this, saying that the Core 4 was the future and they should be getting the bulk of the minutes. I remember some fans even got to sit on the front row the Greg Miller and they spent the whole game complaining that the core4 weren't playing and that if they did, the jazz would be winning a championship sometime in the future.
I got a ton of hate for supporting Jeffy and Sap on a certain messageboard.
Well, what happened? How did that core 4 turn out?
