So who is going to end up in the bullpen?
Burdi is surprising but also not really? The injury concerns are very real and he was also massively over performing his FIP
Poor Bickford. He had the best relief appearances for the Yankees in a couple of games and then got DFAed. (He still sucked, it’s fine)
If you can throw 90ish mph with your left arm (Mayza), you have a lifetime job with the NYY.
I think they forgot to DFA Verdugo and bring up Jasson…..
I thought Burdi was one of the arms we were waiting on?
Hope Hamilton is useful. He had been kind of not great for a while before this IL stint.
We’d have a spot on the bench to put Verdugo if we cut DJ and brought up Dominguez…
hopefully, these moves will bring some fresh energy to the field!
I will honestly never believe that Duke Ellis is a better candidate than The Martian. We are living in clown world with this front office.
I won’t be gas lit by these fucks.
Insanity
So the Yankees still have five players on the 60-day IL: pitchers Brubaker, Loáisiga, Poteet, and Trivino and position player Berti.
I’d like to see Poteet back but not sure if there’s a roster spot available. They probably want to keep Mayza to have a second left-hander in the bullpen.
It’s really a shame that Loáisiga hasn’t been able to stay healthy.
They’re just re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic again.
So stoked that Clark and Hamilton are back… but I got hyped for a second, until i remembered Verdugo his a nothing single yesterday
Why didn’t they DFA Burdi and keep Tonkin??
