  1. You can think about him in any way. But I NEVER wish this upon anyone. This is truly devastating to see. You can tell he cares about this franchise. This could be a career ending injury for him. Ankle injuries are no joke.

  2. This sounds like a "we don't want you to play for us, how about you get that surgery now" type of situation. He even said playing hockey it's not as bad due to being in a boot. And with all the dman the Blues had they probably said we're going to put you in the minors since you don't want to accept a trade and then they settled on doing the surgery.

  3. Based on what he said and his raw emotions, this sounds like a career ending injury and Krug kind of knows it but hasn't totally processed it yet. Poor guy

  4. I cannot imagine the amount of pain Krug has been playing with; only a hockey player would keep playing. Krug leaves it all on the ice every game. I wish him the best for a fast and full recovery.

  5. These guys dedicate their entire lives to playing hockey. Seriously, from like 3rd grade…then one day its taken away from them. Hope he can find that spark coaching or whatnot. There's more out there Torey! Hope you stay in STL when you're done playing.

  6. Wishing krug the best. Admired his energy since the SCF. Hope he can coach perunovich to be his protege. Perunovich has mentioned that he looked up to krug in terms of playing style. And probably why he wears a number next to Krug's.

  7. Heartbreaking, tragic, and shocking. I hadn't seen this, but I love Torey he helped me through a lot of hard times and now he knows his career might be over. People don't seem to realize what hockey players at every level go through or even who they are. Sad to see this and I'll leave with a song quote "Those are days gone by do you remember when we were the best of friends. It's never been the same watching all the days go by." I'm crying myself now- this is too much.
