  2. Got a reputable source on that one? Cause while there is a lot of chatter around Patches to the Leafs, nothing has been confirmed yet.

  3. Just what they need, another washed up guy who likes to circle around the edges waiting for a pass and avoids the corners at all costs… good luck!

  4. Well best of luck to him, hope he gets paid I guess. Either way at this point he won’t make much of a difference either way to the Leafs’ success.

  5. I hope he has a regular spot on their roster. it’ll make Leafs-Habs games even more compelling.

Born again Laine vs New Captain Matthews
    Captain Suzuki vs ex-captain PAX

Sheriff Xhekaj vs any troublesome lawbreaking Leafs

  6. Traitorous cretin! (Just kidding. Everybody knows the Habs/Leafs “rivalry” is just some ginned up HNIC ploy to boost Saturday night ratings.)

  7. Potentially terrible signing for the Leafs as it’s not giving them 4 elements they needed on their top 3 lines, speed, front of the net presence, grit and secondary scoring.

Maybe this is a leadership play ??

  8. Excited just for the memes that come from having an ex-Habs Captain repping the leafs and wearing 67

  9. Good for max, hope he finds a role in the bottom 6. Also hope he gets in all 7 playoff games the leafs are allowed to max out at this year.

Ps leafs collecting all the ex habs players named Max.

Wonder if Ben Maxwell can somehow make it work?.

  10. Don’t understand the hate, Patches was a warrior for us and our best scorer in the past 3 decades. He also brought us Suzuki. Much love.

  11. Could be a nice addition to a 3rd line assuming he can remain healthy. He’s still a big power forward with some good hands, although he has slowed down quite a bit. He’s worth at least a PTO.

  12. Exactly what the Leafs needed! A goal scorer who doesn’t back check much. They really have a solid plan. I approve
