ENJOY THE BEER SHOWER KUMAR YOU ABSOLUTE STUD
Playoff push starts now 👀
Kumar start was so fun
Grats to Kumar! Great start.
Also, what are the chances we re-sign Yates next season? I’m guessing not great.
Did the broadcast happen to interview Rocker’s parents at all during the game? If so, recall what inning it was?
As a musician I appreciate the later games a lot. Talk about a great team win! That ump definitely made horrible calls lmao. Yates and Robertson decimated them and that inning where they scored 3 runs was magical.
Alright so I was thinking about next season and here’s all I think needs to go right for us to have the best season possible, in no particular order:
DeGrom, Seager, Carter, (and Garcia and Semien?) all need to return from their injuries and return to their prior form. Getting fully healthy seasons from all those guys + Jung is essential and we’ve yet to get it.
Rocker and Leiter having solid rookie seasons and contributing to the pitching staff is going to be huge so we don’t have to spend a bunch of $ on acquiring other SP aside from Evo who obviously needs to come back. I’d also be happy seeing Heaney come back, though I wouldn’t mind trading Gray (or moving him to the bullpen) and Mahle.
Langford will have his breakout Sophomore season where he’ll continue to exceed expectations in the OF and fulfill all of our expectations at the plate. I’m thinking he hits at least .300 with 30 HR and 90 RBI.
Heim (assuming he returns) will have to put this season behind him and also return to form. Even if he is solid at defense again and just average on offense that would be enough at the catcher position.
I’m high on Yates juice right now for sure but a part of me understands that closers are fickle creatures year to year and it’s hard to believe he’ll be as effective next year while likely being a lot more expensive so I wonder if not resigning him is a 4D chess move. On the other hand, that may be overthinking it and it may just be wise to stick with the pitcher you know instead of trying to find another diamond in the rough like Yates. Robertson for sure should come back, along with Leclerc and Sborz. The bullpen of course could still use some work but i don’t know enough about options available, I’ll leave that up to CY.
This is A LOT of “if’s” but I’m a believer in 2025. Am I missing anything?
I guess we doin pitching development now
How does festa have 4 wins 😭😭
Both Rocker’s 4 seamer and slider are absolutely filthy 😍
