I’ve always had hope for him, hoping this is a solid year with 1/2 in the NHL and dominating the AHL.

I think it’s always been the case that it was his skating that was holding him back, so it’s good he’s finally realizing/acknowledging it for himself (and has committed to work on it). I mean, if Bo proved anything, it’s that skating is something that can be meaningfully improved upon with hard work and dedication.
Now, will Raty ever develop McDavid’s speed with edges like Hughes? We can only dream. But as long as he’s able to hit league averages, he’ll have a long and productive career in the top 9.
Here’s to hoping Raty is able to put it all together!
Great read!
Must be mid-September. Perfect time for a puff piece from IMac. Like clockwork, he’s hitting us with his annual “underachieving prospect about to make fans proud” article that comes out during Young Stars.
Just show us, Aatu. We’re all rooting for you.
NGL but why did it take him this long to realize any novice who just started watching hockey could tell he was too slow for NHL pace.
I really want this to work out, not just for the club but for him. Being the guy they got back in the trade for the Captain is a big title – time to show it
