How can you not be romantic about baseball?
Shut up boob.
Thanks boob. Now they’re going to lose out
Swiggity swooty coming for that dodger blue booty
Dang Boob actually roasted the Dodgers?!
Boob coming through to help us out again

Slashed their payroll by $90 million… to what? On its face that statement doesn’t tell us anything. Also is that figure for just this year? The Dodgers aren’t spending $1.4 billion this year alone.
and last year with a top 3 payroll, the Padres missed the playoffs (along with the other two teams in the top 3). baseball be funny that way. spending doesn’t guarantee shit.
What a boob. “..who spent $1.4 billion last winter.” Yeah no, we didn’t spend that much “last winter”. We may collectively spend that over a decade and hope we get a couple of rings out of that spend.
Boob just boobing.
Just as we all expected, the Padres significantly improved after losing a Cy Young pitcher and trading Soto for scraps
Padres are the #1 team I want to avoid in the playoffs but our cupcake schedule is going to save us to the regular season finish line
Cries in twins
The 2023 Braves showed up tonight to help y’all out.
Math is hard
Oh Dooodgers, guess where the last series of the year is at?
If Johnny ate two apples today but Susie ate 900 over a period of time who is fatter
Dodgers bad
Get bent, Bob. If I wanted to see fake numbers that try to push a false narrative of some reporter I’d read political news. I come to baseball to get away from crap like this.
We should’ve spent some of that money on a better training staff so half our pitchers don’t end up on the IL (or buy a magic healing potion or something because this is getting ridiculous lol)
Go Padres
How about we all focus on Aaron DUD and the Yankees? Nice power outage CHUMP!
By any measure this season has been a disaster for the Dodgers. Besides Ohtani, every signing has been a bust. Without the trading deadline acquisitions, they’d be out of the playoffs. Something needs to change. Prior couldn’t stay healthy as a player and either can the staff he oversees. It’s a common theme every season. Staff falls apart and they have few pitchers to rely on in October. Continuing to do the same this and expecting a different result is by definition insanity. Early offseason again this year I guess.
Christ, are the dodgers even competitive without Ohtani?!
SSDD
Craziest part is the deferral of nearly all ohtanis money until like mid 2030’s
The dodgers eventually are going to be in serious debt if they don’t win some rings soon

They didn’t spend 1.4 billion. They committed to 1.4 billion. They’re *extremely* different things
Media members stay on Twitter so they can keep twerking these horrible stats for cheap engagement. So gross

Fwiw, the Dodgers payroll went from [$240M in 2023](https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/payroll/_/year/2023/sort/cap_total2/dir/desc) to [$238M in 2024](https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/payroll/_/year/2024/sort/cap_total2/dir/desc)
