Somehow Joe would find greater offense if he was named the top coach in the league.
It seems like he manages to turn everything around to maximize adversity.

Joe Mazzulla only gets half the credit that Ime Udoka got even though he did what Udoka couldn’t.
Kerr top 10 is literally a joke. One of the most overrated basketball figures of all time.
Rode MJ coattails through his playing days and then inherited the most transcendental player maybe ever and a system that allowed that player to thrive
He can’t develop players. He has a terrible record without curry off a large enough population to say so.
He hasn’t handled the Thompson and draymond fall off particularly well. Hasn’t drafted well.
Handled the Poole situation like shit. Hasn’t prepped warriors for the future without Steph, nor set up curry for success today.
He owes much of his success to KD. Reminder he blew the ultimate 3-1 lead and lost a game 7 at home.

Joe below Hardy not to mention a couple of questionable coaches that I don’t think are all that great. Number one Eric Spo is actually a great coach. Nick Nurse is average at best. What is he really ever done won championship on the back of Leonard? Steve Kerr, debatable but not favorite. the guy from OKC really what is he done? Tibs, is a great coach. Udoka is a great coach probably a better coach right now than Joe. The guy from Phoenix what the hell is he ever done? Ty another guy that hasn’t done anything but follow LeBron around. I get that consistency and a longer resume is important and that may be why Joe is rated lower but having Ime higher makes no sense
If they would at least rank Kerr the same way of “we don’t know because they’ve even successful with good rosters” it’d be a little better.
Like I think Joe is top 5, the argument against is that our team has been elite so his role is diminished. But every team that Kerr hasn’t had 3 superstars he turns in very mid seasons not even accounting for his players punching each other in the face at practice or not playing good players and being shocked when they lose over and over
There’s a “paying your dues” kind of mentality here. No saying I agree with it but there is. They think he still has to prove himself a bit more. Personally, I put him at number 2 behind Spolstra.

It’s amazing to me that the Celtics won 64 games with a top 3 all-time net rating without a top 10 player, only one all star, and an average coach. I guess people just think they got really lucky last year, the entire year and then in the playoffs too.
