5. I’ve been saying this for two years , engstrom is the most complete d prospect on the habs , look at the way he plays , reminds me of markov, only he skates better . I’m not saying he’s going to be as or better than markov but his style is like markov

7. It was awesome watching hockey again! The guys played great 5 on 5. I think Thorpe (not this year) will be a steady 4th liner that will give you 20 goals a year and can be moved up to the 3rd if an injury occurs. He just needs some development. Hutson was incredible and so was Beck. Mailloux had some opening jitters but settled down and played a solid game. Engstrom looked very mature in his decisions and his poise.

8. I was at the game and you're right, Engstrom looked good. He's young, and he's ready to learn up there with the club. Not 80 games, but he should play 30+ this season.

10. The only reason habs lost this game was due to a horrible goalie that let in way to many soft goals. Other then that we outplayed the leafs big time

17. Habs fan in Thailand… so pumped about these kids! Hutson no surprise but Engstrom 😮 what a player. Loving Florian. He’s what we will need in a few years to keep people honest and compete in the playoffs. Demidov was a gift. Logan, Owen, Bacher, so many young talented players in the system. Best of all is management. This is what the Habs needed most. Brilliant!

18. Florien picked a tough customer, Chas Sharpe, he is a defensemen who played in the OHL for Mississauga, almost 21, 6'3, 195 pounds.

19. We lost – we should be past the point of moral victories even in pre-season games. A winning culture starts with the emphasis on winning all the time.

20. I'm a bit subdued on the Hutson hype. He really needs to improve his skating from what I see. No need to rush him (with the depth at LD) so work on his skating development before he's thrown into the NHL.

24. Mallioux looked great in both games. Loved Tuch he plays a hard game and makes things happen on the ice, best ovetall forward in both games. Masar showed some flashes especially in the 2nd game. Hutson had amazing edge work and makes some nasty passes but needs to shoot to keep teams honest. Engstrom played great in the 1st game but seemed to disappear in the 2nd game when it got physical.

    Reinbacher had a better 2nd game but he has a lot to work on to make the next step.

    I predict Mallioux, Tuch make the big club our of camp. Hutson and Beck are maybes for me. Engstrom and Reinbacher need big minutes in AHL.
