Was never the best player on the ice but he loved the team and that showed
Yep people shitted on him and he took it like a champ, always a gentlemen and a good lockerroom guy. He really embraced his 7th D role.
Great vet presence and a good guy overall. Played a key role that will be overlooked but was pivotal in rounding out the locker room and veteran presence
I hope this is just a formality and he stays with the team for good vibes
Was always a good loyal soldier.
On dirait que littéralement tout le monde aime Wideman 😅.
He’s a good dude, locker room loves him
Apparently he was like the go to guy for restaurant recommendations and setting up team events
Hope he sticks around
Retire well Chris, seemed liked by the guys hope he sticks around like Byron somehow.
Side note, I briefly this was Chris Weidman and was confused because he’s booked to fight in November on UFC 309.
Always liked Chris and thought he played his role well. He took a lot of unfair shit here but he was a decent player and was never afraid to stick up for his mates on the ice. Congrats on his career and all the best in the future.
Well he’s a great vet for sure. Goodluck on your new journey after hockey.

Didn’t he announced it last year?
