They would look sweet if the pants matched the shirt. I know why they did it, but the two-tone blue is just a rough look.

I like them okay. My biggest gripe with them is that they’re quite similar to the Seattle Pilots throwbacks, and I’d assume fans want a little more variety (kind of like the Braves city connects) but they’re not even in the bottom half of City Connects IMO.
My takeaway from these uniforms is that the pants make them look dummy thicc

City Connects are like if Turn Ahead the Clock was mandated for years.

He’s not wrong. It’s bad enough seeing these once a week and they just wore them 4 games in a row. It was a terrible idea to incorporate pilots references into these jerseys in the first place.

There is no worse uniform than the Padres City Connects.
I get the tributes to earlier Seattle baseball teams, but the black pants are a bit odd with the blue jersey. It’s weird on the Rangers’ city connects (makes them look like waiters at a ChiChi’s), less weird on the Mariners (makes them look like a beer league softball team). The jerseys and hats are pure 🔥. The pants aren’t bad, except with the jersey.
Far from the worst City Connect. San Diego, Texas, and Anaheim exist.
I’m honestly half-convinced that the baseball gods punished the Mariners with this embarrassingly awful offense this season…because they got rid of their road grays two years ago

I actually like the Mariners city connect uniforms. Maybe go with white pants over black, but the blue and yellow with the trident M hat is perfect.
Yankees booth is just mad they’re locked into a design from a century ago with zero flexibility for change. It’s iconic, but boring.
Then again, in college football, I prefer the chaos of Oregon and Boise State’s jerseys rather than the consistency of Alabama and Penn State. If you prefer the classic designs, I can see why you hate the city connects.
Jeff Nelson played in 8 seasons for the Mariners and 6 seasons for the Yankees in his 15 year career. I think he’s earned his right to voice his honest opinion on the uniforms.
I just want the City Connects to be over. Baseball has some of the best iconic uniforms.
