  1. I feel like Carter (and to a lesser extent Davis) haven’t been that bad? Carter needs some more pass rush moves in his arsenal but he’s still been getting pressure. It just doesn’t matter when the guys on the edge can’t set it right or get pressure and when the LBs can’t plug gaps.

  2. See, this is what helps fans like players. Be honest. However, can we stop being “trash” and work on maybe just being better?

  3. Glad to see him demonstrating accountability. It’s also possible that the rest of the D line has also been ass and that’s letting the opposition key on him. I think long term he’s going to be great and this slow start is just a bump in the road.

  4. Of the many, many, MANY problems with our defense, Jalen Carter ranks very low on that list. He hasn’t been amazing but he’s clearly one of the better players we have on that side of the ball.

But I am glad he’s not going “well I’M playing well everyone else needs to step up”

  5. I appreciate the fact that he’s hard on himself but I don’t think he’s been that bad. However he did get beat by an All Pro guard on Monday night the majority of the time.

This D-line is not going to be successful if he is being blocked one on one by anyone. Sucks to say, sucks to put that kind of pressure on a guy with fewer than 20 professional games under his belt but it is what it is.
