  1. According to fangraphs, it looks like this was Marinaccio’s last option year. They weren’t going to use him the rest of this year and they probably didn’t see them adding him to the MLB roster at the start of 2025. I think this is just letting him figure out his 2025 plans early.

  2. He really looks the part of a major leaguer. He’s got excellent mechanics. I was hoping to see him continue to develop his control.

  3. Had a solid 2022 season but was never the same afterwards. Here’s to hoping he finds a home with another team.

  4. He was awesome in 2022. Unfortunately with injuries last year he was never able to find his groove again, and then this year I don’t think he got enough of a chance to figure it out again in the MLB. He will be a worthwhile project for someone next year IMO.

  5. Yo WHAT THE FUCK?!?. Dude put up like a 3 ERA across the majors and AAA while getting *extremely* inconsistent playing time and they DFA him???

  6. I will never forget you, Ronald Marinara Sauce.

I hope he becomes the next Adam Warren/Tommy Kahnle and we re-sign him every two or three years

  7. I doubt Ron gets claimed at this point in the season, right? I forget exactly how DFAs work.

Maybe he’ll be outrighted back to the minors and they can try again next year.

  8. What?! Dude was doing so good in scranton and they decided to get rid of him just like that. Sad

  9. I didn’t expect this DFA. Marinaccio was not great but was serviceable. However, he fell out of favor with the FO this year. That is why he was up and down all season.

  10. Poor Ron got yoinked around his entire time here, hopefully he can have some more stability where ever he ends up next

  11. Damn, I was in the same college graduation class as him. Was really cool to see him make it for my team
